The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

TheHobbit

I went to see The Hobbit 22/12-2012, after having done some baking with my aunt Malin. I really wanted to see it and I didn't feel disappointed after I had seen it.

TheHobbit
Not my first pick of a place for a walk.

Well, the movie The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey is about the young Bilbo Baggins. That goes on a journey with a group of dwarves and Gandalf. They’re destination is The Lonely Mountain to reclaim the dwarves stolen mountain, now home of the dragon Smaug.

TheHobbit
It looks so nice to live there.

I saw The Hobbit in high frame rate and I have to say that I did like it. It was more depth than “ordinary” 3D, and I thought it looked good. Sure it was not a “WOW” experience and one of the downsides was that once or twice when a character moved it looked like someone wind it forward for a second or two.I thought that this movie was very good and with beautiful and great scenery. Also Martin Freeman really fitted as the role of Bilbo.

Score: 4 ½ out of 5.

Hugs and sunshine to you all~

(Obviously, I don't own the pictures all the credits goes to the maker and owner of them).

Historieätarna

Historieätarna
What a party!

I know, I know… This isn’t a movie but a Swedish TV-show corresponding to The Supersizers Go… from United Kingdom. I have watched The Supersizers Go… before I watched Historieätarna. I was quite happy about the Swedish version of The Supersizers Go… As I liked the one from United Kingdom and I thought it would be funny to see what we ate in the past in Sweden. The program leaders where fun to watch and the things they got to do and eat.

Historieätarna
Yes, please! I want a season 2!

I do recommend you to give it a go!

Score: 4 out of 5.

The Woman in Black

TheWomaninBlack

(Actual date was 31/10-2012). After being at the cinema I went for a movie night with a friend of mine and his friends. We watched some older horror and thriller films before we saw The Woman in Black.

It’s a British horror film based on Susan Hill’s novel with the same name. The film is about a young lawyer that has lost his wife and in order to keep his job he needs to travel to a remote village. He finds that the locals are being terrorized by a vengeful ghost.

Candles, you always need candles!

The scenery and props that were used in the film was really good and thought through but the scene’s that were supposed to make thrilled and scared was just meh. It kind of felt like to flat and I have seen films that have worked those scaring technics better than they did in this movie. Besides that it’s was good but I would choose some other film to watch if I wanted to watch horror or thriller.

Score: 2 out of 5.

Hugs and sunshine to you~

Hotel Transylvania

HotelTransylvania

I actually watched Hotel Transsylvania in 31/-2012 but I hadn't started this blog at that time but I wanted to write about it anyway. So here we go!

Hotel Transylvania was a fun way to celebrate Halloween; I watched it with my aunt Malin and my mother’s cousin’s daughter Josefin (8 years old).

The animated movie is about count Dracula managing a high-end resort for monsters, so they can relax away from the humans. Count Dracula has invited the monsters over for his daughter Mavis 118 birthday. When a backpacking human boy stumbles through door of the resort and turns count Dracula’s world upside down.

HotelTransylvania
Such a nice crowd.

The idea of Dracula having a retreat for monsters sounded slightly funny to my ears. Even if it’s a movie for children it still had its fun moments, I do admit that did laugh a little bit here and there during the movie. Sure they could have some better looking characters but hey! It’s a children’s movie and I have seen much worst movies than that for children.

I'll give this movie a score of 2 ½ out of 5.

Hugs and sunshine to you!
